This interactive installation confronts the viewer with Internet spam advertising outside of the normal computer screen. A digital picture frame displays photographs of landscapes that seem normal at first glance, but when the frame is approached the viewer will be surprised. The frame knows how close someone is to the screen, and once you get about five feet away, spam advertisements start to appear and cover the photograph. The closer the viewer gets the more spam shows up and eventually obscures the whole screen. As the viewer walks away the spam subsides revealing the pristine landscapes again.
