Voyeur is a robotic video installation examining ideas of privacy, technology and voyeurism. It utilizes a robot salvaged from the metalworking industry and was heavily modified over a period of several years. The video work was recorded with a camera mounted on the robot set up in a carefully orchestrated bathroom scene. The final piece is a completely automated kinetic installation. The video is shown on a 15 inch monitor mounted to the robot, following a continuous looped cycle which precisely matches the movement of the camera in the original footage.
